Gecko’s has been a Nob Hill fixture for years and is recognized as one of the city’s first gastropubs, emphasizing quality food in a laidback atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with waiters known to bring bacon treats out to well behaved pups.

Differential Brewing opened their doors in April 2019 in the old scooter shop off Vassar near Coal Ave. The vibe inside is approachable and easygoing with an authentic cigarette machine from the 70’s, Wu-Tang Clan playing on the speakers, a pool table surrounded with art and a friendly cast of employees plus extensive back patio area. Their brews are on the lighter end of the beer spectrum.
