Harvest Festival at Casa San Ysidro

The public is invited to visit Casa San Ysidro: The Gutiérrez-Minge House during the Village of Corrales’ Harvest Festival. At Casa San Ysidro, adults, children, and families will enjoy a variety of activities, music, and heritage arts demonstrations from traditional artists all across New Mexico.
Visitors can tour this historic adobe home and multi-acre setting and view our collection of rare artifacts. Learn about seed planting, food preservation, creating Spanish colonial ironwork, traditional spinning and weaving, baking in a horno oven, and much more. Ongoing activities include blacksmithing, horno bread and pie baking, farmers market, wool spinners, Spanish weaving, seed planting, making Ollas, and kid’s activities.
Casa San Ysidro celebrates the living traditions of New Mexico by highlighting the state’s finest artists who are keeping cultural arts relevant and vital today. Watch demonstrations of traditional heritage arts, including retablos, bultos, encrusted straw crafts, tinwork, pottery, colchas, and jewelry.
More than 2,000 people are expected to visit Casa San Ysidro during the two day festival. Other venues and events are scattered throughout the village. Parking Tip: Hop aboard one of the tractor driven hay wagons (hosted by Kiwanis) and tour the village from the Village Mercantile Store all the way to Casa San Ysidro. You must have a wrist band to ride the hay wagons, which can be purchased at any of the Admission Tents. $10, kids under 13 free.
