Meet and speak with funders from private foundations and corporations as they share basics of grant programs with the opportunity to ask questions one-on-one.
The New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals invites you to attend the 2019 Funders Forum on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, 1701 4th ST SW, Albuquerque, NM.
Funders Forum is a unique event where you get to meet and speak with funders from private foundations and corporations. They’ll share the basics of their grant programs; such as giving priorities, deadlines, application processes and contact information. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions one-on-one.
Funders Forum is popular among fundraisers and other nonprofit staff members at all levels. For those new to fundraising and grant-writing, it is a great opportunity to meet and learn directly from funders. For experienced fundraisers, it is a chance to find out about changes in funding priorities.
Additionally, the AFP-NM Academy is offering “Communications Toolkit for Nonprofits” in the afternoon. MediaDesk will present this interactive training on the best low-cost, high-impact communication strategies for your nonprofit.
The workshop will include hands-on breakout sessions and provide tactics to maximize your time, help you set priorities and prevent you from wasting time on strategies that don’t serve your goals. The three-part training includes:
– How to Set Communications Priorities
– Top Low-Budget Communications Investments
– Stop Using Social Media Platforms That Don’t Serve You
MediaDesk is a creative communications agency that works exclusively with nonprofits of all sizes. Their communications strategists understand the constraints, challenges and opportunities nonprofits face in communicating their mission powerfully and effectively.
You are welcome to register and attend one or both of these events.
