This workshop is offered free through the UNM Family Development Program, which is part of the College of Education. Play allows children to develop relationships, articulate their experiences, and learn social-problem solving skills. When adults who work with or care for young children engage in creative, open-ended play experiences, they learn firsthand the power of play. They also become more knowledgeable about the purposeful use of materials and intentional teaching strategies they can use to help children hone their social emotional intelligence. 2 hours professional development certificate is available. To reserve your spot, please call 277-8515 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The workshop takes place at Wemagination Resource Center, 4010 Copper NE, 87108.
