Downtown Walking Tours

Event has passed!

The Albuquerque Historical Society offers FREE Downtown Walking Tours! Our tours are given every Saturday morning through the last weekend in November. If you would like to take a tour with us, no reservations are necessary! Simply meet our guide at 10AM at 1st and Central by the movie theater.

Wear comfortable shoes, bring your drinking water and leave your pets at home. Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the leisurely tour. If you have a group over 5 people or want to schedule a a week-day tour, you can call 505-289-0586 to make arrangements. Learn how the 174 year-old Villa de Alburquerque changed radically with the arrival of the AT&SF Railroad in 1880.

Listen to the stories of the pioneers, merchants, lawmakers, bullfighters, cowboys and politicians who helped shape the city. Our tours are free but the parking is not. The 2-Hr meters take cards or quarters and there is a convenient parking garage behind the theater, entrance from Second Street. SEE YOU DOWNTOWN!
