Excavations: Part Two – Revolutions 2019

Event has passed!

Movement for Mercy is a collaborative endeavor combining the efforts of artists, activists, policy makers, and system-impacted youth who together dissect and articulate the realities of youth imprisonment in our local and global communities, with an eye on using the arts a change-maker for the trajectory of our juvenile justice systems. Dance, theater, music, poetry, and visual arts are woven together, crafted collaboratively by the participants in a modular format that can be performed in pieces or as a full-length production. Project artists include current and formerly incarcerated youth joined by professional artists/educators, who create and perform both inside and outside the prison walls.

Directed by Shira Greenberg and Juli Hendren
Performed by Ana Arachiga, Sonia Bologa, Elsa Menendez, Echo Fenner, and Frank Green

As Tricklock’s signature new works series, Excavations is a chance for audience members to take a sneak peek at what the company is creating, what ensemble members are ruminating on, and ideas echoing through our artistic community.

These are Pay-What-You-Decide performances. Every donation helps us keep Revolutions International Theatre Festival accessible, and we appreciate your support!
