Albuquerque Old Town Virtual Tree Lighting

Event has passed!

Join us for the 27th Annual lighting of Albuquerque’s TALLEST holiday tree right here in Historic Old Town!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the current restrictions surrounding gatherings, we are unable to have our in-person tree-lighting and Holiday Stroll event.

Instead of cancelling, we will be bringing this beloved tradition into your homes – so families near and wide can share and enjoy the experience virtually together (or apart).
Our annual tree-lighting tradition holds a special meaning for the Aceves Family.

2018 marked the tree lighting ceremony’s silver anniversary and the second since the passing of Henry Aceves, longtime Old Town business owner and the one who, along with his wife Karen, began the tree-lighting community tradition.

The family, who runs the famous Old Town Basket and Rug Shop in Plaza Don Luis, gathers dozens of trees from their land in Northern New Mexico to be assembled into the largest holiday tree in Albuquerque for all to enjoy!

So please join the Aceves Family and all of the local merchants here in Historic Old Town in celebrating what will no doubt be our most unique tree-lighting ceremony yet!
You can watch the event live Friday, Dec 4 at 6pm mst on these networks:
