A national spotlight is on the City of Albuquerque for its Annual Twinkle Light Parade. The parade has been nominated by a panel of travel experts as a contender for the Best Holiday Parade, a contest by 10Best and promoted by USA TODAY.
The contest gives voters four weeks to vote for the parade of their choice at http://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-holiday-parade/. Voting is open now until Monday, Dec. 5 at 9:59 a.m. MST. A person can vote once a day for the run of the contest.
Winners will be announced on 10Best.com on Friday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. MST., then later on USA TODAY. The top 10 parades will be determined by online votes.
The Twinkle Light Parade’s organizers are rolling out a promotion to bring awareness to the contest. Albuquerqueans will get used to seeing the Readers’ Choice Best Holiday Parade logo in the coming days. The Twinkle Light Parade’s participants and businesses in Nob Hill can join in by promoting the contest across their social channels using the link http://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-holiday-parade/. Everyone is encouraged to vote once a day through Dec. 5.
This year’s Twinkle Light Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 5:15 p.m. The parade kicks off at Central and Washington, traveling west through the Nob Hill area to Girard. More than 300,000 lights make this a spectacular family-friendly holiday event featuring dozens of floats, marching bands, equestrian clubs, fire trucks, car clubs and businesses.
