The Zia Fund is a small non-profit association to assist in the needs of the aging pet. Pets who lose their beloved humans to death or disaster, older pets with health care needs who are beyond the means of the their human family and those who have older pets who need assistance in maintaining their health and basic care are the focus of this organization. The Zia Fund has already assisted in saving the lives of animals whose owners were unable to afford the emergency services their pets needed to survive. We work with Veterinarians and other pet care professionals to help make the quality and quantity of life better for older pets and assisting pet owners during financial crisis. Placement and care of animals who have lost their human is paramount, and the Zia Fund goal is to create a network of loving homes for those pets who have lost their loved ones. The Zia Fund requests assistance in care of older animals, foster pet families or individuals, financial donations, legal consultation, donations of time and writing skills for official non profit status (if necessary).
